i have one of these in my apartment, i couldn’t figure out how to turn the damn thing on till i saw this video, where i’m from a big red button always means stop or cancel – never go, that’s usually green

Hmm, to be honest I don’t know specifically how much measured. I just fill it by eye or until the water touches the first joint of your index finger, if you measure from the very surface of the rice :p A bit more if you’re cooking short grain and more after that if you cook brown/unhusked/wild rice!
I’m an ‘ALT’ on the JET Programme and due to return home soon actually :p Living in Japan has its pros and cons – there are so many lifestyle choices I wish I could bring back!
